I’m not sure why I didn’t post this last week, but on Saturday June 26, 2010 I was ordained as an elder in the United Methodist Church. Sorry folks, it looks like you’re stuck with me for a while. It was a great ceremony and my wife, Melissa, got to put my stole on me, and we followed that up by a big smooch. I’m pretty sure we confused anyone in the crowd who had no idea who we were. So what’s next? Well, I’m still going to be the UM campus minister for at least another year, but no more paperwork, projects, retreats or interviews. A big thanks to all those who mentored and supported me along the way and a special thanks to the one who called me to ordination in the UMC.
